The construction system UMT in technical education

Abstract:

Práce poskytuje přehled v nabídce a možnostech konstrukčních systémů a stavebnic vhodných pro výuku technické výchovy s ohledem na rozvoj a prohlubování kreativity žáků. Teoretická část diplomové práce obsahuje přehled stavebnic dostupných na českém trhu a zatím nedostupné stavebnice UMT, s uvedením jejich základních parametrů a možností. Systém UMT je pak v této části rozveden do větších podrobností, aby vynikly jeho možnosti a specifika. V této části práce doplňuji možnost rozšířit tento systém o další varianty a návaznosti ve spojitosti s tiskem dílků na 3D tiskárnách a případné využití na českém trhu běžně dostupných konstrukčních materiálů. V praktické části diplomové práce popisuji tvorbu návrhů několika modelových výrobků od návrhu v softwaru UMT Designer po jejich fyzické vytvoření stavebnicí UMT. K těmto modelovým výrobkům uvádím jednoduchý návod k sestavení modelů včetně obrázkové přílohy a soupisu použitých dílků. Práce se zde dále zabývá porovnáním výsledků Urbanova figurálního testu tvořivého myšlení a aktivity skupiny žáků při práci se stavebnicí UMT. Práce doporučuje ve svém závěru využívání technických stavebnic ve vyučovacím procesu základního školství jako jednu z možností naplňování klíčových kompetencí a řešení problému spojeného s ubýváním odborníků v technických profesí.

Abstract:

Provides an overview in the menu and options of structural systems and kits suitable for teaching technical education with regard to development and deepening of the creativity. The theoretical part of my thesis contains an overview of the available and unavailable kits on the Czech market with indicating their basic parameters and options. In this part the system UMT is described in more detail to stand out its possibilities and specifics. I also add the possibility to extend the system to other variants and connections in context with printing pieces to 3D printers and prospective using on the Czech market commonly available structural materials. The practical part of my thesis describes making proposals of several model products from their creation in software UMT Designer to implementation by the UMT kit. To these model products I add the instruction manual including pictures and the list of using pieces. The work here deals with a comparison of the result Urban's Test for Creative Thinking-Drawing Production (TCT-DP) and activity of the group of the pupils while working with the UMT kit. Work recommended in its conclusion the use of technical kits for teaching basic education as one way of meeting the key skills and problem solving associated with the depletion of experts in technical professions.
