La Belle et la Bête in the teaching of French

Abstract:

Diploma thesis called La Belle et la Bête dans l'enseignement du français deals with the characteristics of fairy tales in general and the fairy tale of the Beauty and the Beast. The aim of the thesis is to present this fairy tale from her origin through the historical development, a various European literary adaptations and also the most important movies. The version of the French author Jeanne Marie Leprince de Beaumont is considered as a crucial, as she became an example and an inspiration for many others. Also famous Jean Cocteau was inspired by this book and he forwarded it on screen. The main part is therefore devoted to this film, his shooting and actors. The practical part focuses mainly on creating lesson plans and educational tools for students of elementary and language schools. The didactic material, which uses a variety of exercises to practice and develop the language skills of students, can be used in the teaching of the French language in particular of children and youth.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce nesoucí název La Belle et la Bête dans l’enseignement du français, tedy Kráska a Zvíře ve výuce francouzského jazyka se zabývá jak charakteristikou pohádek obecně, tak samotnou pohádkou Kráska a zvíře. Práce si klade za cíl představit tuto pohádku z hlediska původu a historického vývoje, její různé evropské literární adaptace a také ta nejvýznamnější filmová zpracování. Za stěžejní je považována verze francouzské autorky Jeanne Marie Leprince de Beaumont, která se stala předlohou a vzorem pro mnohé další. A právě touto spisovatelkou se nechal inspirovat také Jean Cocteau, který tento příběh přenesl ve 40. letech minulého století na filmové plátno. Velká část práce je tedy věnována tomuto snímku a jeho hereckým představitelům. Praktická část klade důraz především na tvorbu pedagogických listů pro studenty základních a jazykových škol. Tento didaktický materiál, jež využívá nejrůznějších cvičení na procvičení a rozvíjení jazykových kompetencí studentů může být využit ve výuce francouzského jazyka zejména dětí a mládeže.
