The position of Brazil on the global coffee market

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá kávovým trhem, především postavením Brazílie světovém trhu kávy. První část práce popisuje kávu jako významnou zemědělskou komoditu obchodu. Následují obecné informace o základní makroekonomické charakteristice, historii kávy v Brazílii, produkci a obchodu. Poslední část práce se zabývá hlavními kávovými konkurenty, světovou poptávkou, nabídkou a spotřebou kávy a postavením Brazílie. Výhled do budoucna s obchodem kávy je prezentován v poslední části práce.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the coffee market, especially on the position of Brazil on the global coffee market. First part of the thesis describes coffee as an important agricultural commodity for a business. General information about economic terms, Brazilian coffee history, production and business follows. Last chapter of the thesis deals with the main coffee competitors, world demand, supply and consumption of the coffee and analysing the position of Brazil. Prediction for the coffee business is presented in the final part.
