Analysis of suitability of Altmans Z score for rating of the companies in the catering industry in Czech republic.

Abstract:

Diplomová páce se zabývá vhodností Altmanova bankrotního modelu při aplikaci na gastronomické podniky v České republice. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda je Z-score vhodné po hodnocení gastronomických podniků specificky v období pandemie. Práce je tvořena na bázi ustanovení přesnosti správné klasifikace Altmanova Z–score u gastronomických podniků za období let před příchodem pandemie a za roky, kdy bylo podnikání zvolených subjektů v gastronomickém oboru omezeno v souvislosti se šířením koronaviru SARS-CoV-2.

Abstract:

This final thesis is concerned with the suitability of Altman's bankruptcy model in application to gastronomic enterprises in the Czech Republic. The aim of the thesis is to determine whether the Z-score is suitable for rating of the companies in the cathering industry in Czech republic, especially in the period of pandemic. The thesis is based on the established accuracy of the correct classification of Altman's Z-score for gastronomic enterprises for the period of years before the occurance of the pandemic and for the years when the business of the selected entities in the gastronomic industry was limited due to the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
