Actual factors of development of insintric and market value of stocks

Abstract:

Úkolem dané práce je popsat aktuální faktory vývoje hodnoty a ceny akcií na akciovém trhu USA. Následně tyto dvě veličiny představit, porovnat ve vybraném časovém úseku a testovat chybu odhadu mezi predikovanou vnitřní hodnotou a odhadem trhu. Taktéž vyčíslit a porovnat tržní výnosnost indexu mezi roky (která je pro investory jedním ze stěžejních faktorů při volbě investičního instrumentu) a výnosnost vyplívající z modelu. Pro reflektování trhu USA byl zvolen index S&P 500, který zahrnuje 500 největších veřejně obchodovatelných společností USA vážených dle tržního podílu. V teoretické části budou čtenáři blíže seznámeni s indexem, s oběma veličinami i s pojmy potřebnými pro porozumění vývoji vybraných veličin. V praktické části budou ve vybraných časech vyčíslena a popsaná potřebná vstupní data a stanoveny vhodné předpoklady potřebné pro užití Gordonova modelu. Ve finální části dojde k porovnání vyčíslené vnitřní hodnoty s tržní cenou, a taktéž k porovnání meziročních výnosností indexu dle zjištěných hodnot.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is describing actual factors that have an impact on the development of intrinsic value and market value on the USA stock market. The targets are to present these two values, to compare them throughout the chosen period of time and to test the error of estimation. As well as calculate and compare the real earnings yield ratio to one that comes out of the prediction model. To reflect the USA stock market the author had chosen the index S&P 500 that contains 500 of the biggest publicly traded companies from the USA composed by market capitalization. In the theoretical part, the author will take a closer look at what the index is, what exactly market and fair value are and describe other concepts needed for this thesis. In the practical part, the author will (in chosen period of time) calculate and describe the input data for the Gordon estimation model. In the final part is made a comparison of the market value and estimated (by Gordon model) intrinsic value as well as comparison of the real earnings yield ratio and the one that comes out of the prediction model.
