Práce se zabývá regionálními dějinami a jejich využitím ve školním prostředí. Pojem region je zde nejprve vysvětlen různými vědeckými obory, na něj navazuje seznámení s pojmem regionální dějiny. Následuje aplikace regionálních dějin do výuky moderních dějin na Městském gymnáziu a SOŠ Úpice a jejich zařazení do školního vzdělávacího programu. The thesis deals with regional history and it's use in the school environment. The explanation of the concept of 'region' is given by different scientific disciplines, building upon the introduction to the concept of regional history.
