Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Penitenciární a postpenitenciární péče“ pojednává o historii vězeňství v ČR, jejího vývoje až po současnost. Popisuje výkon trestu (dále jen VT) od přijetí, přes pobyt (adaptace ve VT, práva a povinnosti odsouzených a vychovatelů, spolupráce se sociálními pracovníky a pedagogy, …) až po propuštění a podmíněné propuštění z VT a následný dozor a pomoc probační a mediační služby začlenit se zpět do běžného života. Pomocí provedených rozhovorů jsem získala názor klientů a jejich přímé zkušenosti z výkonu trestu a spoluprací s Probační a mediační službou v Brně, kteří jsou podmíněně propuštěni z výkonu trestu odnětí svobody s dohledem.

Abstract:

The thesis „Penitentiary and Post-Penitentiary Care“ deals with the history of the corrections system in the Czech Republic, and its development from its beginnings to present. It describes the criminal punishment of imprisonment starting from taking custody of the accused, to the actual period of imprisonment in a corrections institution (i.e., adaptation of the imprisoned to the corrections system, the rights and obligations of the imprisoned persons as well as the corrections staff, cooperation with the social workers and other applicable support workers), to the final release and release with probation, and subsequent supervision and assistance of the Probation and Mediation Service which helps the recently incarcerated person to enter a normal life in the community. The thesis is based on real-life interviews with recently incarcerated clients of the Probation and Mediation Service in Brno, i.e. persons released into the community on probation. I have included their experiences from the prison life and their contact with the Probation and Mediation Service.
