Children's conceptions about functioning of the human body

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce má teoreticko-empirický charakter a zabývá se prekoncepty dětí předškolního věku o fungování trávicí soustavy. V teoretické části jsou vymezeny základní pojmy a teorie, ze kterých autorka v práci vychází. V textu je také věnována pozornost analýze výzkumů k tématu, s důrazem na způsoby, jak může pedagogika a především učitel mateřské školy na prekoncepty reagovat. V empirické části je představený kvalitativní výzkum prováděný metodami rozhovorů s dětmi předškolního věku, analýzy dětské kresby trávicí soustavy a následného pojmového mapování. V závěru práce jsou interpretovány výsledky a odpovědi dětí na otázky.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis has theoretical and empirical character and deals with the preconceptions of preschool children about the functioning of the digestive system. Basic concepts and theories from which author of the thesis uses as base are defined in the theoretical part. The text also pays attention to the analysis of research on the topic, emphasizes the ways in which education and especially the kindergarten teacher can respond to preconceptions. The qualitative research conducted by interviews with preschool children, analysis of children's drawings of digestive system and the subsequent concept mapping is presented in the empirical part of the thesis. In conclusion, the results and children's answers to questions are interpreted.
