The Radical Clash of Theory with Practice: Participatory Budgeting as an Application of Normative Theory of Democracy
Abstract:
The thesis explores participatory budgeting in Bratislava as democratic innovation and application of contemporary normative democratic theories. Authoress debates this phenomenon through analytical framework developed by Graham Smith. The intention is to discover how political theory turns into practice and how the instrument works in Slovakia.
Abstract:
Bakalárska práca sa venuje participatívnemu rozpočtovaniu v Bratislave, ku ktorému pristupuje ako k demokratickej inovácii a aplikácii súčasných normatívnych demokratických teórií. Autorka fenomén skúma cez analytický rámec Grahama Smitha. Zámerom práce je analyticky popísať, ako je skúmaná inovácia využitá v Bratislave a ako aplikuje koncepty súčasnej demokratickej teórie.
