Práce je pokusem analyzovat názory S. Huntingtona, R. Dahla, J. Peheho a N. Chomského na demokracii konce 20. a začátkem 21. století. Podněty, které přináší S. Huntington (teorie třetí vlny), R. Dahl (polyarchie), J. Pehe (oporou demokracie nejsou jenom instituce, ale zejména demokratické hodnoty) a N. The thesis tries to analyse the opinions of S. Huntington, R. Dahl, J. Pehe and N. Chomsky on democracy of the end of 20th and the beginning the 21st century. The suggestions of S. Huntington (Third Wave Democracy), R. Dahl (Polyarchy), J. Pehe (the support of democracy does not mean only institutions but mainly democratic values) and N.
