Substitute family care from the point of view of the foster parents´ demands on the child

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá požadavky žadatelů o pěstounskou péči na přijímané dítě v procesu zprostředkování náhradní rodinné péče a zda splnění těchto požadavků ovlivňuje přijetí dalších dětí do pěstounské péče. Cílem bakalářské práce bylo nastínit problematiku pěstounské péče a jaké faktory ovlivňují příjímáních další dětí do pěstounské péče.Bakalářskou práci tvoří dvě stěžejní oblasti. Jedná se o část teoretickou, která vychází ze studia odborné literatury k problematice náhradní rodinné péče . Druhá, praktická část, je reprezentována kvalitativně zaměřeným výzkumem. Výzkum byl prováděn pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů s pěstouny v rámci Teplicka, čímž poskytl ucelený vhled do problematiky. V závěru práce jsou uvedena doporučení a návrhy pro odbornou praxi pro naplňování představ žadatelů o dítěti ve vztahu k jejich rozhodnutí si vzít do pěstounské péče další děti, ale i to co ovlivňuje pěstouny při rozhodování kolik dětí budou mít v péči. A právě díky návrhům,jak pomoci pěstounům a usnadnit jim získání dětí do pěstounské péče můžeme předcházet rizikům setrvání dalšího velkého množství dětí v ústavní péči.

Abstract:

This Bachelor´s Thesis deals with the demands of foster care applicants on the ac-cepted child in the process of mediation of substitute family care and if meeting the de-mands affects admition of other foster chidren. The aim of the thesis was to outline the problems of foster care and try to reveal what fac-tors influence accepting of more foster children. The thesis consists of two main subjects. The first part is theoretic and is based on studying specialized literature focused on substitute family care. Second, practical part is represented by qualitatively aimed research. The research was performed by using semi-structured interviews with foster parents in Teplice region, which provided comprehensive insight into the problem. In the end of the work there are introduced recommendations and suggestions for qualified practice for meeting foster care applicants´ demands about the child in the relation to their decision to foster next chidren but also what influences foster-parents´ decision about how many children they will foster. And just thanks to the suggestions how to help foster-parents and how make fostering easier, we can prevent risks of staying a big ammount of children in institutional care.
