The need for identity building in children in a foster care

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá potřebou budování identity u dětí v pěstounské péči. Práce je rozdělená na teoretickou a praktickou část. Část teoretická se zabývá čtyřmi hlavními tématy: náhradní rodinná péče, identita dítěte, metody práce s identitou dítěte, výzkumy v kontextu identity dítěte. V teoretické části práce byla popsána metodologie výzkumu. Výzkum byl proveden kvalitativní strategií pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů. Výsledky byly zpracovány pomocí zakotvené teorie. Výzkumný vzorek byl tvořen zprostředkovanými i nezprostředkovanými pěstouny. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jak pěstouni pracují s identitou dítěte v pěstounské péči.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the need for identity building in children in foster care. The work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part deals with four main topics: substitute family care, child identity, methods of working with child identity, research in the context of child identity. The research methodology was described in the theoretical part of the work. The research was conducted using a qualitative strategy using semi-structured interviews. The results were processed using grounded theory. The research sample consisted of mediated and non-mediated foster parents. The goal of the work was to find out how foster parents work with the identity of a child in foster care.
