This thesis deals with the history of German language enclave near Vyškov, which was consisted of eight villages, and describes its evolution across the centuries. Emphasis is placed partly on the historical evolution of this enclave, and partly on its particular speciality, like their dialect, architecture or folk costumes. Diplomová práce se zabývá historií německého jazykového ostrova u Vyškova, který tvořilo 8 vesnic a popisuje jeho vývoj napříč staletími. Důraz je kladen jednak na historický vývoj tohoto ostrova, a jednak na jeho specifické zvláštnosti, jako bylo nářečí, architektura či lidové kroje.
