Maturita examination through the perspective of senior students of eight-year secondary general schools

Abstract:

Tato magisterská diplomová práce se zaměřuje na letošní maturanty na osmiletých gymnázií a na jejich pohled na změny ve společné části maturitní zkoušky v době pandemie. Cílem práce je pak zjistit a popsat, jak letošní maturanti na osmiletých gymnázií nahlíží na společnou část maturitní zkoušky v době pandemie a to z hlediska rovnosti výsledků ve vzdělávání. Práce je klasicky rozdělena na dvě části a to na část teoretickou a empirickou. V teoretické části se věnuji problematice osmiletých gymnázií a společné části maturitní zkoušky, zejména pak změnám, ke kterým ve společné části maturitní zkoušky došlo v době pandemie. V empirické části pak popisuji metodologii kvalitativního výzkumu a následně se věnuji interpretaci dat, které jsem získala pomocí polostrukturovaných hloubkových rozhovorů. V závěru empirické části pak prezentuji výsledky daného výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

This thesis focuses on this year’s senior students at eight-year secondary general schools and their view of changes in the common part of the maturita examination during the pandemic. The aim of the thesis is to find out and describe how this year’s senior students of eight-year secondary general schools view the common part of the maturita examination during the pandemic, in terms of equality of results in education. The thesis is classically divided into two parts, the theoretical and the empirical part. In the theoretical part I deal with the issue of eight-year secondary general schools and the common part of the maturita examination, especially the changes that occurred in the common part of the maturita examination during the pandemic. In the empirical part I describe the methodology of qualitative research and then focus on the interpretation of data that I obtained through semi-structured in-depth interviews. At the end of the empirical part, I present the results of the research
