Spectral and oscillation theory of differential operators

Abstract:

Práce se věnuje vyšetřování oscilačních a spektrálních vlastností diferenciálních operátorů druhého řádu. Je složena ze dvou kapitol. V první se zavádí základy teorie lineárních operátorů v Hilbertově prostoru. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena ba Sturmovy-Liouvilleovy diferenciální operátory. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována Weylově LP/LC klasifikaci.

Abstract:

The thesis is devoted to the investigation of the oscillation and spectral properties of second order differential operators. It consists of two chapters. In the first one we introduce essentials of the theory of linear operators in a Hilbert space. The second chapter is focused on Sturm-Liouville differential operators. A particular attention is devoted to the Weyl LP/LC classification.
