Legal status and function of the Czech State Bank

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce má za svůj cíl objasnit problematiku právního postavení a činnosti ČNB. První část práce si klade za cíl seznámení s institucí ČNB a mapuje její historický vývoj. Druhá část mapuje míru funkce ČNB. Třetí část je stěžejní a popisuje měnová politika ČNB a také kontrolní a sankční nástroje v oblasti bankovního dohledu. Čtvrtá část se věnuje nezávislosti ČNB. Pátá část popisuje bankovní regulaci a dohled ČNB. Šestá část se věnuje odlišnostem ČNB od centrálních bank ostatních zemí. Poslední kapitoly pojednávají o zapojení ČNB do systému Evropských centrálních bank.

Abstract:

This thesis has as its objective to clarify the issue of legal status and activities of the Bank. The first part aims to familiarize institutions with the CNB and describes its historical development. The second part describes a level of function of the CNB. The third part describes the fundamental and CNB monetary policy and control and sanction instruments in the field of banking supervision. The fourth part deals with the CNB's independence. The fifth section describes the Banking Regulation and Supervision Department. The sixth part deals with the differences CNB central banks of other countries. The last chapters deal with the CNB's involvement in the European System of Central Banks.
