Development possibilities of market with genetically modified crops in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá trhem s geneticky modifikovanými plodinami v ČR. Práce nachází důvody nepěstování GM plodin v České republice a navrhuje řešení, která by pěstování GM plodin podporovala. Práce má část teoretickou a praktickou. V rámci teoretické části byla vypracována literární rešerše z českých i zahraničních zdrojů, která poskytuje ucelené informace o samotných geneticky modifikovaných organismech, ale také o možných přínosech a negativech, jejich využití, legislativě a další. V praktické části byl pomocí dotazníkového šetření zjišťován přístup respondentů ke GM plodinám a potravinám z nich vyrobených. Na základě informací zjištěných z dotazníkového šetření a informací z literární rešerše jsou navrhnuta řešení, která by mohla podpořit pěstování GM plodin.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with market with genetically modified crops in Czech Republic. The work finds the reasons for not growing GM crops in the Czech Republic and proposes a solution that would support the cultivation of GM crops. The work has theoretical and practical part. In the theoretical part a literary search was made from Czech and foreign sources. So the work provides comprehensive information about genetically modified organisms and also about possible benefits and negatives, their use, legislation and other. In the practical part the respondent’s approach to GM crops and food produced from them was ascertained by means of a questionnaire survey. Based on the information obtained from the questionnaire survey and information from the literature search, there are proposed solution that could support the cultivation of GM crops.
