Influence of acquired impairment to inidivual's life and his family

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje vlivu získaného postižení na život dospělého jedince a jeho rodiny. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. Teoretickou část tvoří tři kapitoly, které se věnují vymezení pojmu postižení, získané tělesné postižení, vymezení pojmu poruchy a onemocnění centrálního nervového systému, psychickým reakcím na získané postižení, vyrovnání se životní situací, činitelům ovlivňujícím kvalitu života, poradenským a asistenčním službám, sociální a pracovní integraci a specifikům zaměstnávání osob se zdravotním postižením. Část praktická obsahuje popis použité metodologie a pět případových studií dospělých osob se získaným postižením. Hlavním cílem práce bylo analyzovat vliv získaného postižení na život jedince a jeho rodiny. Jakým způsobem se vyrovnává jedinec s postižením, jaký je jeho názor na postoj naší společnosti k postiženým. Dílčími cíli bylo zjistit, jak vnímá jedinec sebe a své okolí po události, jež vedla k získanému postižení. Jakým způsobem získané postižení ovlivňuje aktivní život jedince i jeho rodiny. Jaké jsou plány jedince do budoucnosti.

Abstract:

This thesis deals with the influence of acquired impairment to individual's life and his family. Thesis is divided into four chapters. The theoretical part consists of the three chapters that deal with the definition of impairment, acquired impairment, the definition of disorders and diseases of the central nervous systém, psychological reactions to acquired impairment, coping with life situations, factors affecting the quality of life, counseling and support services, social and work integration and the specific of the employment of persons with some impairment. The practical part contains a description of the used methodology and five case studies of adults with acquired impairment. The main task was to analyze the influence of acquired impairment to life of an individual and his family. How individuals cope with impairments, what is their opinion on the attitude of our society to the handicapped. Secondary tasks were to determine how individuals perceive themselves and their surroundings after the event which led to acquired impairment. How acquired impairment affects the active life individuals and their families. What are the plans of individuals in the future.
