Virtual Identity within Communication in Cyberspace

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na virtuální identitu v rámci komunikace v kyberprostoru. V teoretické části jsou uvedeny hlavní pojmy, mezi něž patří virtuální identita jako součást osobní identity, narcismus a osobní identita. Následuje popis virtuálních identit v kontextu sociálních sítí a falešných identit v online komunikaci. Diplomová práce dále zkoumá roli virtuálních identit v online komunikaci. Praktická část popisuje postup, provedení a výslednou interpretaci výzkumu, který byl proveden za účelem, jak je virtuální identita utvářena v rámci komunikace v kyberprostoru. Výzkum byl realizován pomocí polostrukturovaných rozhovorů a byla použita následně metoda zakotvené teorie.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on virtual identity in the framework of communication in cyberspace. In the theoretical part, the main terms are presented, which include virtual identity as part of personal identity, narcissism, and personal identity. The following is a description of virtual identities in the context of social networks and false identities in online communication. The diploma thesis further examines the role of virtual identities in online communication. The practical part describes the procedure, implementation and resulting interpretation of the research that was carried out to determine how virtual identity is formed within communication in cyberspace. The research was carried out using semi-structured interviews and the grounded theory method was subsequently used.
