Computers and internet as a way children spend their free time

Abstract:

V diplomové práci se zabývám trávením volného času dětí u počítače a internetu. Zaměřuji se na online rizika, která dětem hrozí. Jestli se setkaly s nepříjemnou situací a zda a jakým způsobem se s ní umí děti vypořádat. Zjišťuji, jakým způsobem si umí zabezpečit počítač a zda jejich internetové aktivity kontrolují rodiče. Při vypracování této práce jsem vycházela ze zjištění dotazníkového šetření na jedné základní škole. Otázky v dotazníku byly použity z již provedeného výzkumu EU Kids Online v roce 2010, který se stal podkladem pro mou diplomovou práci Uvedené skutečnosti a zjištění z provedeného výzkumu mohou být podnětem pro cílenější výuku bezpečnostních dovedností dětí na základní škole. K vytvoření preventivních programů a návodů pro děti, jak se chovat bezpečně na internetu, nebo k vysvětlení nejžhavějších problémů, s kterými se děti v souvislosti s počítačem a internetem v současné době potýkají.

Abstract:

In my thesis I am looking into the way children spend their free time on the computer and internet. I am focusing on online risks which are endangering children. If they experienced an unpleasant situation, whether and how they can cope with it. I am finding out the way children can secure their computers and whether their parents control their online activites. During compilation of this thesis I drew on findings of a questionnaire at one elementary school. Questions for this survey were used from an already conducted (in 2010) research EU Kids Online which became the basis for my thesis. All mentioned facts and findings from this research may be the impulse for more targeted tuition of safety skills of children at elementary school. For developing some prevention programs and instructions for children on how to behave safely on the internet. For explaining the hottest issues which are children currently facing in connection with computers and internet.
