Strategic analysis of the Internet Mall, a.s. company

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce směřuje do oblasti e-commerce, která v České republice již několik let v řadě výrazněji roste, konkrétně je zaměřena na společnost Internet Mall a.s., jednu z největších a nejznámějších českých internetových firem. Cílem práce je pomocí metod strategické analýzy zhodnotit současný stav společnosti Internet Mall a.s. a navrhnout doporučení pro dlouhodobý vývoj společnosti. V práci jsou uvedeny a následně použity jednotlivé nástroje analýzy makrookolí podniku, mikrookolí podniku a analýzy vnějších zdrojů a schopností podniku. Následně je provedena syntéza za využití SWOT analýzy, ze které vyplývá, že podnik má silné postavení na trhu, ale má delší dobu problémy s rentabilitou. Společnost Mall nejvíce ohrožují stávající i nově příchozí konkurenti a negativní vývoj ekonomiky. V práci je také provedena analýza rizik, ze které vyplývají tři nejzásadnější rizika: odchod stávajících zaměstnanců, intenzivní cenová konkurence a ztráta důvěry zákazníků. V poslední části práce jsou stanovena jednotlivá doporučení, která reflektují slabé stránky společnosti, hrozby i zjištěná rizika.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis is directed to the field of ecommerce, which has been growing significantly in the Czech Republic for several years in a row, specifically focused on the company Internet Mall a.s., one of the largest and most famous Czech Internet companies. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the current state of Internet Mall a.s. using strategic analysis methods and to propose recommendations for the long-term development of the company. The thesis presents and then uses the individual sub tools of the analysis of the company's macroenvironment, microenvironment and the analysis of the company's external resources and capabilities. Subsequently, a synthesis is made using SWOT analysis, which shows that the company has a strong position in the market but has had problems with profitability for a long time. Mall is most threatened by existing and new competitors and negative economic development. The paper also includes a risk analysis which shows the three most important risks: the departure of existing employees, intense price competition and loss of customer confidence. The last part of the thesis sets out individual recommendations that reflect the company's weaknesses, threats and identified risks.
