Analysis of the Dichotomy Real/Unreal from the Standpoint of the Theatrical Space in the Theatre of Roberto Arlt

Abstract:

This thesis deals with dichotomy of reality and dream in three selected theater plays of Roberto Arlt. It contains theoretical definitions of the theatrical space and of the perspective. Also includes further detailed analysis of selected plays. Specifically, the plays are Trescientos millones, Saverio el Cruel and El fabricante de fantasmas. To conclude the topic, the thesis compares the analysis and tries to reveal which types of dramatic means the author uses to establish the dichotomy, to create and to distinguish the real and dream scenes.

Abstract:

Táto diplomová práca sa venuje dichotómii reality a sna v troch vybraných divadelných hrách argentínskeho autora Roberta Arlta. Obsahuje teoretické vymedzenie divadelného priestoru a perspektívy a ďalej tiež podrobné analýzy zvolených diel. Konkrétne sa pracuje s dielami Trescientos millones, Saverio el Cruel a El fabricante de fantasmas. V závere sa práca venuje porovnaniu týchto diel. Na základe analýz a porovnania práca odhaľuje, ktoré dramatické prostriedky autor používa na vytvorenie spomínanej dichotómie a na tvorbu a odlíšenie reálnych a snových scén.
