Labour market in the Czech Republic during economic recession

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá trhem práce v České republice v období ekonomické recese. V teoretické částí práce je vymezen trh práce, popsána problematika nezaměstnanosti a definována politika zaměstnanosti. Dále je popsána souvislost hospodářského cyklu a nezaměstnanosti a vznik ekonomické recese v roce 2008. V praktických částech je analyzován vývoj na trhu práce v České republice v období ekonomické recese, především struktura nezaměstnaných a uplatňované nástroje politiky zaměstnanosti. Politika zaměstnanosti je zhodnocena jako efektivní. V závěru práce je popsán vývoj na trhu práce v Německu, Španělsku a na Slovensku v období ekonomické recese.

Abstract:

The thesis focuses on the labour market in the Czech Republic during economic recession. In the theoretical part of the thesis, labour market is defined, the issue of unemployment is described and labour market policies are defined. Furthermore, the connection between economic cycle and unemployment as well as origins of economic recession of 2008 are described. In the practical part of the thesis, the development on the labour market in the Czech Republic during economic recession is examined, especially structure of the unemployed and labour market policies which were used. The labour market policies are assessed as efficient. At the end of the thesis, labour markets in Germany, Spain and Slovakia during economic recession are described.
