Cílem této práce je analýza viktoriánského románu z venkovského prostředí Cranford Elizabeth Gaskellové. Analýza se věnuje nejvýraznějším motivům z provinčního života v Anglii 19. století, které se v díle objevují, a částečně také jeho srovnáním s kulturně-historickou přesností vyobrazení soudobé společnosti viktoriánské Anglie. Abstract:
This work aims to analyse the Victorian novel from the provincial setting of Cranford Elizabeth Gaskell. The analysis deals with the most significant motifs of provincial life in 19th-century England that appear in the Cranford and, in part, its comparison with the cultural-historical accuracy of the depiction of contemporary Victorian England society.
