Attributive constructions, their frequency and expression in means of communication of professional style

Abstract:

Práce je členěna do tří kapitol. V první kapitole je charakterizován odborný funkční styl, který je zařazen do vyšších celků, tedy mezi funkční styly vůbec, a do vědecké disciplíny zvané stylistika. Jsou zde popsány jednotlivé druhy funkčního stylu odborného se zaměřením na styl teoreticky odborný a popularizační. Dále se v této kapitole věnujeme principu kondenzace, a to zejména s ohledem na přívlastkové konstrukce. Je zde provedena jejich klasifikace a jsou zde popsány na základě složitosti (rozvitosti) a postavení v syntaktických celcích. Ve druhé kapitole se zaměřujeme na metody a cíle práce. Jedná se o popis postupů, které nám napomohly k ověření zvolených hypotéz nacházejících se právě v této kapitole. Do druhé kapitoly jsme také zařadili výčet a charakteristiku komunikátů, které nám sloužily jako zdroj k analýze jazykového materiálu. Vybrané texty jsou zařazeny k jednotlivým druhům odborného funkčního stylu. Poslední, třetí kapitola se zabývá analýzou námi zvolených textů. Především nás zajímala frekvence, typ, rozvitost a postavení přívlastkových konstrukcí v předem vytyčených komunikátech odborného stylu.

Abstract:

The work is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter there is performed characterization of professional functional style which is classified into higher units,thus between functional styles at all and into scientific discipline called stylistics. There are described various kinds of functional professional style with focus on theoretically professional style and popularizing style. Furthermore, this chapter deals with the principle of condensation, especially having regard to the attributive structure. There is a classification of these constructions and they are described on the basis of complexity and the position of syntactic units. The second chapter is focused on the methods and goals of the work. This is a description of the procedures that will help us to validate the selected hypotheses located in the introduction of the work. In this chapter we have also included a list of characteristics and utterances that have served me as a source for the analysis of linguistic material. Selected texts are assigned to particular types of professional functional style. The last third chapter deals with the analysis of chosen texts. The goal of this work was to verify the hypothesis that there are occured more frequent attributive constructions or attributive subordinate clauses in the professional utterances.
