Cyberbullying from the perspective of educators

Abstract:

Diplomová práce nabízí pohled na téma kyberšikany z odlišné perspektivy, než ze které je běžné, z perspektivy vychovatelů. Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na to, jakou roli hrají technologie ve vývoji dítěte. Popisuje kyberšikanu z obecného hlediska s důrazem na negativní dopad do výchovně vzdělávacího procesu. Stěžejní část teoretické práce rozebírá roli vychovatelů v boji s kyberšikanou, a to ve fázi prevence i ve fázi intervence. Na následcích kyberšikany dokazuje, jak je důležité, aby vychovatelé kyberšikanu nepodceňovali. V závěru je problematika kyberšikany zasazena do praxe. Praktická část práce se věnuje rozboru kvantitativního výzkumu uskutečněného pomocí dotazníkového šetření, jehož cílem bylo zjistit, jaké jsou zkušenosti vychovatelů s kyberšikanou v praxi, jaké mají na tuto problematiku názory a zda právě tyto názory a postoje ke kyberšikaně souvisí s dalšími proměnnými.

Abstract:

This thesis offers a view on cyberbullying from a different perspective, from the perspective of educators. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the role of technology in the development of child. Cyberbullying is described here in general terms, with an emphasis on the negative impact on the educational process. The most important part of the theoretical part analyzes the role of educators, both in the phase of prevention and intervention. On the consequences of cyberbullying we prove how important is not to underestimate the issue by educators. At the end of the theoretical part cyberbullying is set into the practice. The practical part of this thesis deals with the analysis of quantitative research performed through a questionnaire survey. The aim of this study was to find out the educators’ experiences with cyberbullying, what their views and opinions are and if these opinions and attitudes are related to other variables.
