Tha Vibration Therapy in the Cerebral Palsy

Abstract:

The importance of sensory stimulus in the motor performance is now considered essential because the motor system relies heavily on deep sensory stimulation in order to work properly. All muscle proprioceptors receive afferent signals which perform an important role in the control of muscle tone and in the facilitation of movement. The afferent peripheral way allows the connection with supraspinal structures and so also contains the mechanism of synaptic inhibition that is presented in the performance of a normal movement. A different and singular sensory stimulus as the vibratory stimulation excites muscle proprioceptors which send a sensory motor information through the spinal cord and so afferent signals support the cortical control and modulation of the movement.

Abstract:

La paralisi cerebrale (CP) ? una delle cause pi? comuni di grave disabilit? fisica dell?infanzia e include un gruppo di disordini permanenti eterogenei non progressivi che originano da una lesione a carico del sistema nervoso centrale e determina un?alterazione delle funzioni motorie. La CP non ? una singola malattia ma piuttosto una condizione che accomuna diverse situazioni patologiche. L?evento lesivo del tessuto cerebrale pu? avere diverse cause e pu? manifestarsi in epoca prenatale per fattori genetici, infezioni materne in gravidanza, agenti tossici, gestosi; in epoca perinatale per prematurit? (soprattutto sotto le 32 settimane di et? gestazionale), ipossia/ischemia nel bambino nato a termine, postmaturit?, parto difficoltoso e infine in epoca postnatale per meningoencefaliti, trauma cranico, arresto cardiocircolatorio prolungato, stato di male epilettico (convulsioni che si prolungano oltre i 30 minuti).
