Na začátku diplomové práce bude vysvětleno, co znamenají pojmy jako státní či kulturní národ a co se rozumí občanským pojetím národa. Předložená definice bude aplikována na české prostředí s cílem zjistit, zda se obě pojetí nutně vylučují, anebo je-li možné, aby platila pro jeden národní celek. At the beginning of the thesis will be explained what mean the terms as a state or cultural nation and what is meant by the civic conception of the nation. The presented definition will be applied to the Czech concept in order to determine whether both concepts are necessarily excluded, or if it is possible for them to apply to one national unit.
