Development of the transport connection Zlín - Brno

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem dopravního spojení Zlína s Brnem od 60. let 20. století do současnosti. Práce si klade za cíl zhodnotit, jak se vyvíjela časoprostorová komprese v průběhu sledovaného období a podrobně rozebírá důvody, které k ní vedly. Vlivem investic do silniční a železniční infrastruktury došlo k výrazným změnám ve spojení. Metodická část popisuje sběr dat a určení systému pro vybírání vhodných spojení metodou využitelných spojů. Analytická část spočívá v posuzování získaných ukazatelů jako minimální, maximální, průměrná a mediánová cestovní doba a také počtu spojů v komparaci s faktografickými údaji, týkajícími se stavu dopravní infrastruktury, z které vychází trasy samotných dopravců. Z výsledků práce se ukázalo, že nejvíce se časoprostorová konvergence projevila u autobusové dopravy a poté u železniční dopravy. Nejméně naopak u individuální automobilové dopravy i přes výstavbu nových dálnic. Avšak nejnižší jízdní doby měla vždy automobilová doprava, a to i před výstavbou dálnic D1 a D55 na dané trase. Automobilová doprava byla a pravděpodobně i nadále bude do budoucna z pohledu jízdní doby nejkonkurenceschopnějším módem dopravy. Autobusová doprava nabízela vždy rychlejší spoj než železniční doprava, a to i přes modernizaci železničních koridorů. Konkurenceschopnosti železnice výrazně uškodilo nevyhovující vedení tras a poddimenzovaná trať mezi Zlínem a Otrokovicemi. Více spojů jezdilo po většinu sledovaného období jako autobusová než železniční doprava, avšak v dnešní době se stav téměř vyrovnal.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the development of the transport connection between Zlín and Brno from the 1960s to the present. The work aims to evaluate how time–space compression developed during the period under review and discusses in detail the reasons that led to it. Due to investments in road and railway infrastructure, there have been significant changes in the connection. The methodological part describes the data collection and determination of the system for selecting suitable connections using the method of usable connections. The analytical part consists in assessing the indicators obtained as the minimum, maximum, average and median travel time as well as the number of connections in comparison with factual data concerning the condition of the transport infrastructure, on which the routes of the carriers themselves are based. The results of the work showed that time–space convergence was most pronounced in bus transport and then in rail transport. On the contrary, the least in individual car transport despite the construction of new motorways. However, car traffic always had the lowest driving times, even before the construction of the D1 and D55 motorways on the route. Road transport has been and probably will continue to be the most competitive mode of transport in the future. Bus transport has always offered a faster connection than rail transport, despite the modernization of rail corridors. The competitiveness of the railway was significantly damaged by inadequate line management and the undersized line between Zlín and Otrokovice. More connections ran as bus than rail for most of the period under review, but nowadays the situation has almost levelled off.
