Financial health assessment of chosen company.

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývala analýzou a vyhodnocením finančního zdraví stavební společnosti BELSTAV CZ, s.r.o. prostřednictvím vybraných metod finanční analýzy, komparace a benchmarkingu, s navazující formulací souboru doporučení pro zlepšení zjištěného stavu. Teoretická část prostřednictvím literární rešerše představuje základní východiska finančního zdraví a benchmarkingu. V praktické části byla využita kombinace metod finanční analýzy předmětné společnosti s navazujícím porovnáním vybraných ukazatelů se třemi konkurenčními podniky, což umožňuje získat dostatek informací a podkladů k identifikaci možných slabých stránek hospodaření podniku. Z rozboru bylo zjištěno, že vybranou společnost Belstav lze označit za finančně zdravou. Její finanční stabilitu ovšem z hlediska konkurence, ale i samotného podniku, neguje nižší přidaná hodnota, nižší rentabilita tržeb a vlastního kapitálu, dlouhá splatnost pohledávek a vyšší likvidita. Na tyto slabé stránky byly zformulovány doporučení eliminující podnikové nedostatky.

Abstract:

The thesis dealt with the analysis and evaluation of the financial health of the construction company BELSTAV CZ, s.r.o. through selected methods of financial analysis, comparison and benchmarking, with the subsequent formulation of a set of recommendations for improving the identified situation. The theoretical part, through a literature search, presents the basic principles of financial health and benchmarking. In the practical part, a combination of methods of financial analysis of the company was used with a subsequent comparison of selected indicators with three competing companies, which allows to obtain sufficient information and data to identify possible weaknesses in the company's management. The analysis showed that the selected company Belstav can be described as financially sound. However, its financial stability from the point of view of competition, but also of the company itself, is negated by lower added value, lower return on sales and equity, long maturity of receivables and higher liquidity. Recommendations have been formulated for these weaknesses to eliminate corporate shortcomings.
