Ecomic diplomacy of the Czech Republic in relation to selected countries of the Western Balkans

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je analýza ekonomických vztahů ČR k vybraným zemím západního Balkánu s ohledem na nástroje ekonomické diplomacie. Práce bude rozdělena do tří částí. Teoretická část se bude věnovat obecně diplomacii a ekonomické diplomacii. Dále uvede historické i aktuální souvislosti této problematiky a rovněž se bude blíže věnovat nástrojům ekonomické diplomacie. Ve druhé kapitole budou popsány pracovní povinnosti diplomatů včetně jejich působení v oblasti západního Balkánu. Ve druhé, tedy analytické části bude představeno území Balkánu, jeho nástroje ekonomické diplomacie i současný stav jednotlivých zemí. Následně se bude autor věnovat roli agentury CzechTrade v ekonomické diplomacii v této lokalitě. Podrobněji bude rozebrán stát Černá Hora. Třetí část se bude týkat jednotlivých výstupů práce a získaných poznatků. Dále bude rozebrána atraktivita ekonomických vztahů se zeměmi západního Balkánu. Veškerá zjištění se budou opírat o veřejná fakta a relevantní zdroje včetně informací plynoucích z provedených rozhovorů. V závěru práce budou zodpovězeny stanovené výzkumné otázky včetně cíle práce.

Abstract:

The aim of the thesis is to analyze the economic relations of the Czech Republic with selected countries of the Western Balkans with regard to the tools of economic diplomacy. The work will be divided into three parts. The theoretical part will be devoted to diplomacy and economic diplomay in general. He will also present the historical and current context of this issue and will also focus more closely on the tools of economic diplomacy. In the second chapter, the duties of diplomats will be described, including their activities in the Western Balkans. In the second, analytical part, the territory of the Balkans, its tools of economic diplomay and the current state of individual countries will be presented. Subsequently, the author will focus on the role of the CzechTrade agency in economic diplomacy in this locality. The state Cerna Hora will be analyzed in more detail. The third part will refer to individual work outputs and knowledge gained. Furthermore, the attractiveness of economic relations with the countries of the Western Balkans will be discussed. All findings will be based on public facts and relevant sources, including information derived from interviews conducted. At the end of the work, the set research questions will be answered, including goal of the work.
