Abstract:

Zadaním diplomovej práce bolo zreštaurovanie dvoch olejomalieb z 19. storočia na textilnej podložke z Galérie moderného umenia v Roudnici nad Labem. Jednalo sa o portrét mladej ženy s knihou a o krajinomaľbu. Oba obrazy boli vybraté s ohľadom na teoretickú časť diplomovej práce, ktorá sa zaoberá zmenou farebnosti u umelo starnúcich lakov a možnosťami ich odstraňovania. Teoretická časť diplomovej práce bola zameraná na posúdenie zmeny farebnosti a miery rozpustnosti vybraných lakov, používaných v 19. storočí, po umelom starnutí. Pre skúmanie boli zvolené liehové a olejové laky rozpustné v alkoholoch. Jednalo sa o zástupcov laku šelakového, jantárového, kopálového, mastixového a sanadrakového. Všetky laky boli pripravené podľa historických receptov s menšími úpravami, ktoré boli nevyhnutné, kvôli podmienkam v ateliéri a neúplnosti niektorých receptov.

Abstract:

The assignment of this Master thesis was to conserve two oil paintings on canvas originated in the 19th century, now stored in The Gallery of modern art in Roudnice nad Labem. The paintings depicted a portrait of young woman with a book and winter landscape. Both of the paintings were chosen with the theoretical part of this paper, which describes colour changes in artificially aged varnishes and means of their removal, in mind. Experimental part of this paper was focused on observation of colour changes in varnishes, used in the 19th century, after accelerated aging and differences in their solubility. For the experiment following alcohol and oil varnish were used: shellac, amber, copal, mastic and sandarac varnish. The varnishes were prepared according to historic recipes with small adjustments, so they could be made without special equipment.
