Dynamic Semantic Scales and Verbs of Motion
Abstract:
Tato práce provnává dva různé syntaktické typy sloves, konkrétně tranzitivní a netranzitivní typ, a jejich dynamické sémantické role. Spolu se slovesy se práce dívá také na větné podměty a jejich dynamické sémantické role. Výsledky jsou založeny na analýze 400 vět získaných z Korpusu současné americké angličtiny (Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA)).
Abstract:
The thesis compares two different syntactic types of verbs, namely transitive and intransitive verbs, and their dynamic semantic roles. Together with verbs the thesis looks also at the sentence subjects and their dynamic semantic roles. The results are based on the analysis of 400 sentences retrieved from Corpus of Contemporary American English (COCA).
