Level of metacognitive development according to implemented curriculum

Abstract:

Hlavními tématy této diplomové práce jsou metakognitivní monitorování, porozumění čtenému a Daltonský plán. Ústředním cílem je zjistit, zdali má realizované kurikulum vliv na úroveň metakognitivního monitorování a čtení s porozuměním. V první, teoretické, části se čtenář seznámí s důležitostí mezinárodních srovnávacích testů, čtenářskou gramotností, s pojetím pojmu metakognice, především v kontextu učebního procesu a dále také s původní a současnou koncepcí Daltonského plánu. V úzké návaznosti na jejich vymezení bude následně v empirické části prezentováno zpracování dat získaných na vybraných běžných ZŠ a školách daltonského typu. V konečné fázi práce se autorka zaměří na interpretaci dosažených výsledků, ke kterým na základě zjištění získaných v empirické části, dospěla. V souvislosti s uvedenými závěry budou také vysvětleny možné příčiny k nim vedoucím.

Abstract:

Main topics of this thesis are Metacognitive monitoring, reading comprehension, and Dalton plan. The fundamental objective is to ascertain, whether the proclaimed curriculum affects the level of Metacognitive monitoring and reading comprehension. In the first, theoretical part the importance of international comparative tests, reading comprehension, the definition of the term "Metacognition" particularly in the context of the learning process and the original and current form of the Dalton plan is introduced to the reader. In close relation to the terms defined above, the empiric part presents the processed data, gathered from selected elementary schools as well as Dalton type schools. In the concluding part, the author focuses on the interpretation of the outcomes obtained from the empiric part. The author also explains the possible causes of these results.
