Marriage and the Education of Women in the works of Jane Austen and Mary Wollstonecraft
Anotace:
Tato práce se zabývá názory a postoji Mary Wollstonecraftové a Jane Austenové vůči postavení žen v 18. a 19. století. Hlavní témata, která jsou v práci probírána jsou manželství a vzdělávání žen. Práce dále analyzuje některá díla Wollstonecraftové a Austenové a dotýká se i jejich ´feministických´ myšlenek a názorů.
Abstract:
This thesis deals with the opinions and attitudes of Mary Wollstonecraft and Jane Austen towards the position of women in eighteenth and nineteenth century. The issues concerned are mainly marriage and education. It analysis some of their works and also questions their ´feministic´ thoughts and ideas.
