Development of tourism in the district of Zlín

Abstract:

Cestovní ruch je odvětví, které ovlivňuje ekonomiku na národní i regionální úrovni. Ces-tovní ruch je odvětvím budoucnosti, protože jeho rozvoj provází silný multiplikační efekt. Podnikatelské aktivity, které jsou zaměřené na domácí a aktivní zahraniční cestovní ruch si proto zaslouží podporu. V mé bakalářské práci se zaměřím na projekty, které byly usku-tečněny či se uskuteční ve zlínském okrese, a které měly vliv na cestovní ruch v této oblasti. V teoretické části popíšu dokumenty v oblasti cestovního ruchu na národní i regionální úrovni. Poté provedu socioekonomickou analýzu zlínského okresu, kde popíši polohu, obyvatelstvo, zaměstnanost nezaměstnanost a další důležité faktory charakterizující tuto oblast. Další částí bude popis městského managementu a kulturních památek. Další částí budou možnost financování projektů, které se uskutečnili v oblasti okresu Zlín. Praktická část mé BP bude, jak jsem již dříve zmínila, zaměřená na projekty. Konkrétně se jedná o projekty Kongresového centra Zlín a Krajského kulturního a vzdělávacího centra, které ještě není dokončené, ale jedná se o současný největší projekt Zlínského kraje. Kulturní a univerzitní centrum je komplex, který byl dokončen tento rok dostavbou Kongresového centra a zásadně ovlivnil vzhled města. V Kongresovém centru nyní sídlí filharmonie Bo-huslava Martinů, která dříve sídlila v tzv. Domu umění, kde ovšem nebyla vhodná akustika. Kongresové centrum, jak již název napovídá, slouží také ke kongresům, konají se zde i plesy a nedávno zde byla také otevřena restaurace. Mým cílem je popsat jak tyto projekty pomohou zlínskému okresu a co by se dalo na těchto projektech ještě vylepšit, aby se okres Zlín stal navštěvovanějším a lákavějším pro turisty.

Abstract:

Tourist industry is a field, which influences the economy on both national and regional level. It is the field of the future, because its development is followed by the multiplier effect. Enterpreneurs activities, which are focused on domestic and active foreign tourism deserve support. The projects, which were done or will be done in the Zlin region and which affected the tourist industry in this region are described in my bachelor thesis. In the theoretical part I am going to describe the documents concerning the tourist industry on national and regional level. Then I am going to accomplish socioeconomic analysis of the Zlin region. I am going to describe the location, the population, the employment , the un-employment and other important factors characterizing this area. Another part is dedicated to description of the municipal management and cultural sights. The possibilities of financ-ing of projects, which were accomplished in the Zlin region are described in another part. The practical part of my bachelor thesis is focused, as I have mentioned above, on the pro-jects. More specifically it is based on the projects of the Zlin Congress Centre and the Re-gional Cultural and Educational Centre in Zlin, which has not been finished yet, but is con-sidered to be the biggest contemporary project of the Zlin region. Cultural and University Centre is a complex, which has been finished this year and it has strongly influenced the appearance of the city. The Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic orchestra, which has been set-tled in the House of Arts, where the acoustics was not suitable enough is now settled in the Zlin Congress Centre. As the name prompts the Zlin Congress Centre is intended for con-gresses, but also the balls are held there and just recently a restaurant was opened. My goal is to describe how can those projects help to Zlin region and what could be done in a better way to make the region more attractive and more visited by tourist..
