Mexican gastronomy in Prague

Abstract:

Bachelor’s thesis on topic Mexican gastronomy in Prague will be divided into four parts. Bachelor’s thesis will aim to check the current supply of Mexican products, ingredients and meals in selected Mexican restaurants and specialist shops. Check the current supply of Mexican products, ingredients and meals in selected specialist shops. But also, a comparison of authentic and fake Mexican restaurants in Prague. The main methods of processing labour are market analysis and research, in the form of observation, comparison and written, personal or internet contact. There will be presented the basic concepts, which will address the issues covered by the bachelor’s thesis. Then, there will be work on development of Mexican gastronomy, the original civilizations and Indians which replaced them and made the new civilizations. In particular their customs and traditions, which they followed in perpetuity for the food or raw materials which they used to prepare their food. The next order of bachelor’s thesis will be to present today’s Mexican gastronomy, its general characteristics and, of course, the raw materials used in this gastronomy. From ingredients to their development and preparation itself. In the second part, bachelor’s thesis will focus more closely on the analysis of the supply of raw materials, dishes and ingredients form Mexican shops and restaurants, which we can find in Prague. It will mainly be about what kind of food it is, whether it is authentic food that belongs to Mexican cuisine or only the market - seeking foods that are added to Mexican cuisine. The third part of bachelor’s thesis will be aimed at comparing the offer of authentic restaurants with the offer of fake restaurants. What will be discussed is where these restaurants differ and what they have in common. The fourth part will focus on the possible outline of proposals for the visibility of the authentic Mexican cuisine.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca má tému Mexická gastronómia v Prahe. Cieľom bakalárskej práce bude zistenie súčasnej ponuky mexických produktov, surovín a jedál vo vybraných mexických reštauráciách. Zistenie súčasnej ponuky mexických produktov, surovín a jedál vo vybraných špecializovaných obchodoch. Taktiež ale porovnanie autentických a nepravých mexických reštaurácií v Prahe. Hlavnými metódami spracovania práce je analýza a výskum trhu formou pozorovania, komparácie a písomného, osobného alebo internetového kontaktu. V prvej časti budú predstavené základné pojmy, ktoré sa týkajú problematiky, ktorej sa bakalárska práca venuje. Ďalej bude práca zameraná na vývoj Mexickej gastronómie, pôvodných obyvateľov a ďalej dobyvateľov, ktorí postupne nastupovali na ich miesta a tvorili civilizácie. Hlavne ich zvyky a tradície, ktoré dodržovali v nadväznosti na potraviny alebo suroviny, ktoré používali k príprave svojich jedál. Ako ďalšie v poradí bude predstavená dnešná Mexická gastronómia, jej všeobecná charakteristika a samozrejme budú uvedené základné suroviny používané v tejto kuchyni. Od surovín sa bude napredovať k ich využitiu a samotnej príprave. V druhej časti sa bakalárska práca bude bližšie venovať analýze ponuky surovín, jedál a nápojov z mexických obchodov a reštaurácií, ktoré je v Prahe možno dohľadať. Zamerané bude hlavne na to, aké sú to potraviny, či sú to tie autentické potraviny, ktoré patria do mexickej kuchyne alebo iba tie, čo si žiada trh a sú do mexickej kuchyne pridané. Tretia časť bakalárskej práce bude zameraná na porovnanie ponuky autentických reštaurácií a ponuky nepravých reštaurácií. Rozoberať sa bude to, v čom sa tieto reštaurácie líšia a naopak to, čo majú spoločné. Štvrtá časť bude zameraná na možné načrtnutie návrhov pre zviditeľnenie autentickej mexickej kuchyne.
