Modern Audit in the Business Practice

Abstract:

Současná ekonomická situace přináší společnostem mnoho možností rozvoje, ale současně s nimi i přicházející rizika. Významným ukazatelem efektivnosti procesů ve společnostech lze bezesporu označit interní audit. Jeho vliv při řízení podniků, nejen vlivem technologického pokroku, neustále narůstá a je již nedílnou součástí vedení společností a jejich interních procesů. Na základě literární rešerše oborových teorií je cílem práce provedení auditu, který ověří rizikové procesy vybraného podniku a nabídne praktickou nápravu odhalených zjištění. Aplikací těchto metod lze očekávat pomoc auditu v oblasti reportingu. Auditní proces při svém průběhu aplikuje metody náhodného výběru vzorku, kvalitativní analýzu rizik, metodu účelových interview, nezávislého pozorování, komparace, metodu horizontální analýzy a deskripce. Díky provedenému auditnímu šetření a získaným zjištěním jsou ohodnocena možná rizika stávajících procesů a navržena opatření, která svým moderním přístupem k danému tématu přispějí k zvýšení efektivity řízení podniků ve skupině. Rozhodnutí, zda budou získaná zjištění pouze informativního charakteru nebo k nim bude přihlédnuto při transformaci procesů ve společnosti, je plně v kompetenci managementu.

Abstract:

The current economic situation offers to companies many opportunities for development, but also creates risks. Internal audit can undoubtedly be an important indicator of process efficiency in companies. Its influence on corporate governance, not only due to technological advances, is steadily increasing and is already an integral part of company management and its internal processes. Based on a literature review of theories, the aim of the thesis is to carry out an audit that verifies the risk processes of the selected company and offers a practical remedy of the findings. By applying of these methods,the audit assistance can be expected also in reporting. The audit process applies random sampling methods, qualitative risk analysis, method of purpose-based interviews, independent observation, comparison, horizontal analysis and description. Thanks to the audit survey and the findings obtained, the possible risks of the existing processes are evaluated and measures are proposed that, with their modern approach to the given topic, will contribute to increase the effectiveness of the management of the companies in the group. The decision as to whether the obtained findings will be of an informative nature only or will be taken into account during the transformation of processes in the company is fully within the competence of the management.
