Research of using Competitive Intelligence methods in Czech organizations

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá oblastí competitive intelligence. Hlavním cílem práce je zjistit a analyzovat stav využívání metod CI a příslušných informačních zdrojů v českých firmách a navrhnout opatření pro vyšší efektivnost jejich využívání. V úvodní části práce jsou představeny pojmy competitive intelligence, zpravodajský cyklus a informační zdroje. V další části jsou analyzovány vybrané průzkumy provedené ve světě. Analýza je provedena na základě zpravodajského cyklu pro lepší přehlednost. V následující části jsou jednotlivé průzkumy porovnány a vyvozeny závěry ohledně využívání competitive intelligence ve světě. Další část práce je zaměřena na Českou republiku, v rámci ní jsou představeny dosavadní průzkumy, které se zabývají využitím competitive intelligence v ČR. Následuje představení vlastního výzkumu provedeného v rámci této diplomové práce. Je zde popsán proces tvorby výzkumu, interpretace dat a závěrečné vyhodnocení. V poslední části práce jsou na základě vyhodnocených odpovědí z dotazníku, pro jednotlivé fáze, popsány vyskytující se problémy ve využívání competitive intelligence v ČR a navrženy opatření, jak by bylo tyto problémy možné zmírnit, nebo úplně eliminovat.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis focuses on the area of competitive intelligence. The aim of the thesis is to determine and analyse a status of CI methods, relevant information sources in Czech companies and to propose actions for higher efficiency of their usage. Introductory chapter defines terms of competitive intelligence, intelligence cycle and information sources. In the next chapter are analysed selected researches that are done abroad. The analysis is based on an intelligence cycle for better understanding. In the following chapter are selected researches compared and based on this comparison are done conclusions. Another chapter shows current competitive intelligence researches in the Czech Republic. It is followed by own research which was done for the purpose of this thesis. There is description of the process of research creation, data interpretation and final evaluation. In the last chapter are described current problems of competitive intelligence usage in the Czech Republic and made precautions how to mitigate or completely solve problems based on research responses.
