Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá rolí interakce při výuce vybraných prostorových úloh ve virtuálních geografických prostředí. V teoretické části jsou vysvětlena východiska celé práce – co to jsou virtuální (geografická) prostředí, jakou roli v nich hraje interakce, jaké podobné studie už v ČR i zahraničí proběhly. Pro praktickou část byla vybrána jedna konkrétní prostorová úloha (poznání morfometrických charakteristik reliéfu) a bylo na 22 dobrovolnících testováno, zdali interagování s virtuálním prostředím hraje roli v případném zlepšení výsledků mezi pre-testem a post-testem. Testovací skupina s terénem interagovala, zatímco kontrolní skupina ve virtuálním prostředí pouze sledovala naučná videa/prezentace. Hypotéza H1 celé praktické části zněla, že interakce bude hrát statistickou vý-znamnou roli při zlepšení výsledků. Praktický experiment probíhal v březnu 2022. Obě skupiny se v porovnání provedených testů po experimentu zlepšily ve svých odpovědích – bylo to přitom dle použitého testu na hraně statistické významnosti. Testování rozdílů zlepšení mezi oběma skupinami prokázalo, že mezi skupinami nebyl statisticky významný rozdíl. Hypotéza tedy musela být zamítnuta, přestože se obě skupiny zlepšily, interakce nehrála roli ve zlepšení výsledků.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis focuses on the role of interaction in teaching selected spatial tasks in virtual geographic environments. In the theoretical part, the background of the practical part is explained – mainly what virtual (geographic) environments are, what is the role of interaction in them and what are the results of already conducted studies both in Czechia and abroad. For the practical part, one specific spatial task was selected – a recognition of morphometric characteristics of a relief. 22 volunteers took part in an experiment, whether the interaction with the environment will play any role in the possible improvements between a pre-test and a post-test A testing group interacted with the terrain, whereas a control group only watched presentation/videos in the virtual environment. The main hypothesis H1 was, that interaction will play a statistically significant role in improvement of the results. The practical experiment was conducted in March 2022. Both groups did improve when comparing pre- and post-test, statistical testing showed it was on the limits of statistical significance (depending on the test used). When the difference in improvement between both groups was tested, it was shown the difference is not statistically significant. Therefore, H1 had to be rejected – interaction did not play a significant role in improvement of the results.
