Toll system in Poland

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá mýtným systémem v Polsku. V teoretické části jsou popsány způsoby zpoplatnění dopravní infrastruktury. Jsou vysvětleny technologie používané pro elektronický výběr poplatků, jejich výhody a nevýhody. V hlavní části jsou podrobněji analyzovány hlavní dopravní komunikace a způsoby jejich zpoplatnění. Na závěr je zhodnocena interoperabilita polského mýtného systému se systémy v sousedních zemích. Úroveň interoperability je hodnocena jako poměrně vysoká s možným zlepšením do budoucna.

Abstract:

This Bachelor's Thesis discusses the toll system in Poland. The ways of tolling, and the transport infrastructure are described in the theoretical section of this work. In the next section, the technologies used, along with its pros and cons for electronic fee collection, are explained. The main section of this work analyzes the main roads and their toll collection system. The final section assesses the interoperability of the Polish toll system with those in neighboring states. The level of interoperability is assessed as relatively high, with possible improvements in the future.
