Comprehensive Nursing Care in Patients with Established Chest Drain

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na komplexní ošetřovatelskou péči o pacienty se zavedeným hrudním drénem. Hlavním cílem práce bylo stanovit nejdůležitější činnosti ošetřovatelské péče u těchto pacientů. Praktická část práce se opírá o kvalitativní výzkum, který probíhal ve dvou vybraných zdravotnických zařízeních na území Zlínského a Moravskoslezského kraje. Výzkum byl proveden designem kazuistiky u čtyř participantů. Informace byly získány technikou přímého pozorování participantů, rozhovorem s nimi a analýzou zdravotnické dokumentace jednotlivých pacientů. Z kazuistik vyplynulo, že mezi nejdůležitější ošetřovatelské činnosti patří kontrola hrudního drénu a drenáže (kontrola množství a charakteru odpadu, kontrola funkce drenáže aj.), převazy okolí drénu, hodnocení a měření odváděné sekrece, sledování a tišení bolesti a další činnosti uvedené v práci. Jako výstup práce vznikl edukační materiál na téma "uvedení hrudní drenáže do klinické praxe", který může posloužit všeobecným sestrám s manipulací s vybranými drenážními systémy.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on comprehensive nursing care for patients with established chest drain. The aim of this bachelor thesis was to determine the most important activities of nursing care for these patients. The practical part of the work is based on qualitative research, which took place in two selected medical facilities in the Zlín and Moravskoslezský region. The research was conducted by designing a case study of four participants. The information was obtained by direct observation of participants, interview with them and analysis of medical records of individual patients. The case studies showed that the most important nursing activities include control of chest drainage and drainage (control of the amount and nature of waste, control of drainage function, etc.), drainage environment, evaluation and measurement of secretion, monitoring and pain relief and other activities mentioned in the work. As an output of the work, an educational material on the topic of "putting chest drainage into clinical practice" was created, which can be used by general nurses with the manipulation of selected drainage systems.
