The usage of project teaching in the subject man and his world on an example of whole year project - The misterious museum

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje projektové metodě vyučování. Jejímu vzniku a vývoji u nás i v zahraničí. Využití projektu v současných školách a její nepostradatelnost. Přínos projektů pro žáka i pro učitele, ale i stinné stránky při nezvládnutí přípravy či vlastní realizaci. Uvádím zde další pokrokovou formu vyučování, kterou je integrovaná tématická výuka, která se často s projektovým vyučováním zaměňuje. Mezi těmito metodami je velmi tenká hranice. Obě metody jsou pro žáka i učitele novou alternativou, která dokáže vést k lepšímu poznání a osvojení si nejen učiva, ale i dovedností, které jsou pro život nepostradatelné. Učí žáka celistvě, vychází z jeho zkušeností a již získaných poznatků. Práce se zabývá využitím projektu na I. stupni základní školy v oblasti Člověk a jeho svět. Na příkladech z praxe se snaží konkrétně vystihnout reálnost využití v české škole a nabízí rozmanité možnosti zpracování daných témat.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the method of project teaching, describes its origin and development in our environment and abroad, its utilisation in schools nowadays and its essential importance. The paper describes the advantages for the pupil and the teacher as well as the disadvantages emerging from possible incomplete preparation or from the realization itself. The author presents another progressive method of education known as integrated cross-curricular links. This approach is often being misled with the project teaching. The boarder line between these two methods is rather thin. Both approaches are a new alternative for pupils and teachers and can lead to better understanding and acquiring the subject matter as well as the skills that are essential for life. The pupil is educated entirely, resulting from his or her experience and gained knowledge. The thesis focuses on the usage of projects in the first level of primary school where the age of children ranges from six to eleven and is specified for the subject Man and his world. The practical examples given in the thesis try to describe the reality of the usage in Czech schools and offer various ways of working with given topics.
