Emotional intelligence in the work enviroment

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou emoční inteligence v pracovním prostředí. Teoretická část popisuje definice pojmů, co to jsou emoce a emoční inteligence, podrobněji zkoumá její jednotlivé složky, zdůrazňuje vliv emocí na fyzické i duševní zdraví a vysvětluje výhody používání emoční inteligence v práci i v osobním životě. V praktické části je uveden výzkum, který je realizován kvalitativní formou, metodou polostrukturovaného rozhovoru se sérií předem připravených otevřených otázek. Výzkumu se účastní sedm respondentů, přičemž každý z nich pracuje v jiném oboru. V závěrečné fázi praktické části je uvedeno vyhodnocení získaných dat. Na základě výsledků výzkumného šetření je vytvořena praktická příručka pro rozvoj emoční inteligence u zaměstnanců. Celá bakalářská práce je navíc obohacena o rozhovor s velmi uznávanou a vyhledávanou mentální koučkou Jitkou Ševčíkovou, MBA, která se mimo jiné specializuje na rozvoj emoční inteligence.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of emotional intelligence in the work environment. The theoretical part describes the definitions of terms, what are emotions and emotional intelligence, examines its components in more detail, emphasizes the impact of emotions on physical and mental health and explains the benefits of using emotional intelligence at work and in personal life. The practical part presents research, which is carried out in a qualitative form, the method of semi-structured interview with a series of pre-prepared open-ended questions. The research involves seven respondents, each working in a different field. In the final phase of the practical part, the evaluation of the obtained data is presented. Based on the results of the research survey, a practical guide for the development of emotional intelligence in employees is created. The whole bachelor's thesis is also enriched with an interview with the highly respected and sought-after mental coach Jitka Ševčíková, MBA, who specializes in the development of emotional intelligence, among other things.
