Innovations in Leisure Activities for Seniors

Abstract:

Předmětem práce je analýza inovačního procesu volnočasových aktivit ve dvou zvolených domovech pro seniory ve městě Brně. V návaznosti na výsledky analýzy soudobého stavu inovačního procesu volnočasových aktivit jsou navržena opatření zaměřená na zefektivnění tvorby, implementace a využívání inovací ve volnočasových aktivitách ze strany seniorů. Realizován je kvantitativní empirický výzkum formou dotazníkového šetření se seniory. Mezi nejvýznamnější zjištění lze zařadit aktivní zapojení seniorů do inovačního procesu volnočasových aktivit ve městě Brně. Senioři pozitivním způsobem vnímají inovace, jsou schopni se na ně adaptovat, považují je za nástroje posilující jejich kvalitu života. Senioři jsou ochotni podílet se na tvorbě, implementaci a testování účinnosti inovací volnočasových aktivit. Zjištěna byla mezigenerační spolupráce a kooperace mezi pracovníky domova pro seniory a seniory na inovačním procesu volnočasových aktivit. Inovace ve volnočasových aktivitách rozšiřují a zpřístupňují nabídku volnočasových aktivit i seniorům se zdravotními omezeními. Inovace jsou vnímány jako nástroj posilující soběstačnost seniora, přispívající k zapojení seniora do společnosti, vzdělanost, mezigenerační spolupráci. Inovace jsou využívány v oblasti pohybových aktivit, vzdělávání, cestování i zdravotnictví.

Abstract:

The subject of the thesis is the analysis of the innovative process of leisure activities in two selected homes for the elderly in Brno. In relation to the results of the analysis of the contemporary state of the innovation process of leisure activities, measures aimed at improving the creation, implementation and use of innovations in leisure activities by seniors are proposed. Quantitative empirical research in the form of a questionnaire survey with seniors is carried out. The most significant findings include the active involvement of seniors in the innovation process of leisure activities in the city of Brno. Seniors perceive innovations in a positive way, they are able to adapt to them, they consider them as tools strengthening their quality of life. Seniors are willing to participate in the creation, implementation and testing of the effectiveness of innovations in leisure activities. Intergenerational cooperation and collaboration between nursing home staff and seniors in the innovation process of leisure activities was found. Innovations in leisure activities expand and make the range of leisure activities more accessible to seniors with health limitations. Innovations are perceived as a tool to strengthen the self-sufficiency of seniors, contributing to the involvement of seniors in society, education, intergenerational cooperation. Innovations are used in the field of physical activities, education, travel and healthcare.
