Commodity market investments

Abstract:

Tématem práce je investování na komoditních trzích se zaměřením na zemědělské komodity. Je zde využito metod analýzy a komparace včetně určení, jaké přínosy přináší investorům vybrané komodity ze zkoumané oblasti. Teoretická část této práce je zaměřena na základní rozčlenění finančního trhu. Poté jsou zde představeny jednotlivé komoditní burzy v České republice i ve světě a komodity, se kterými lze obchodovat. A dále jsou zde popsány metody investování. Ve druhé části jsou představeny jednotlivé zemědělské komodity. Jsou vytvořeny modelové příklady na investování a zjištěny jejich výnosy. Součástí práce je také dotazníkové šetření, provedené u firem zaměřených na zemědělské komodity. Výzkum je zaměřen na jejich povědomí o existenci komoditních burz, a zda využívají jejich služby.

Abstract:

The theme of the thesis is investing in commodity markets with a focus on agricultural commodities. Methods of analysis and comparison are used, including determination of the benefits to investors of selected commodities from the area under investigation. The theoretical part of this thesis is focused on the basic segmentation of the financial market. Then there are presented individual commodity exchanges in the Czech Republic and in the world and commodities with which they can trade. And there are also described the methods of investing. In the second part are presented individual agricultural commodities. Further investment models are created and their benefits are quated. A part of the thesis is also a questionnaire survey responded by companies focusing on agricultural commodities. Research is focused on their awareness of the existence of commodity exchanges and whether they use their services.
