Utilizing the potential of brownfields for sustainable territorial development

Abstract:

První část práce je teoretická se zaměřením na přiblížení pojmu brownfieldů a jejich revitalizaci. Dále jsou zde zmíněny typy brownfieldů, jejich vznik, legislativa, výhody a nevýhody. V závěru této části je přiblížena revitalizace brownfieldů, dále je zde představena Národní databáze brownfieldů, Národní strategie pro revitalizaci brownfieldů a také zásady a doporučení pro revitalizaci takovýchto prostor. Druhá část práce je praktická a skládá se z několika zdrojů. Jako první jsou představeny dva projekty, kterými jsou DEPO2015 a bývalý autosalon Carimex v Plzni. Dále následují dva řízené rozhovory a zpracovaný kvantitativní průzkum, pro který je použit dotazník. Dotazník je zaměřen na lokalizaci brownfieldů v Plzni a přilehlém okolí. Závěr této práce obsahuje konkrétní i obecná doporučení na revitalizaci brownfieldů.

Abstract:

The first part of the thesis is theoretical, focusing on the concept of brownfields and their revitalization. The types of brownfields, their origins, legislation, advantages, and disadvantages are also mentioned. At the end of this section, the revitalization of brownfields is explained, as well as the National Brownfield Database, the National Strategy for Brownfield Revitalization, and principles and recommendations for revitalizing such areas. The second part of the thesis is practical and consists of several sources. First, two projects are presented, DEPO2015 and the former Carimex car showroom in Pilsen. This is followed by two structured interviews and a processed quantitative survey, which uses a questionnaire. The questionnaire is focused on the localization of brownfields in Pilsen and its surrounding areas. The conclusion of this thesis contains specific and general recommendations for the revitalization of brownfields.
