Project for Increasing Productivity through Application of Industrial Engineering Methods in a Chosen Company

Abstract:

Tato práce je zaměřena na zvýšení produktivity ve vybrané firmě. Jejím obsahem je literární rešerše v oblasti průmyslového inženýrství a produktivity, dále analýza současného stavu podniku a projekt zlepšení. Zvolený problém je nejprve obecně analyzován po-mocí nástrojů na zlepšování procesů, jako jsou Paretův graf, diagram příčin a následků, a hodnocení současné produktivity prostřednictvím sběru dat. Uplatněním těchto nástrojů je vybrána výrobní operace CNC obrábění pro detailnější analýzu. Podstatou řešení je studium metod a měření práce pomocí přímého měření a systému předem stanovených časů. Nástroje chronometráž a Basic MOST jsou použity na konkrétní výrobkovou skupinu, která je nejvhodnější z hlediska nutnosti a potenciálu zlepšení. Navržené řešení umožňuje zvýšit množství výstupu konkrétního výrobku o 60 % při zachování vstupů. Problém je řešen eliminací zjištěného plýtvání a snížením prostojů obráběcího stroje o 30 %. Výsledky této práce umožňují zvýšit výkonovou normu a dosáhnout vyšší produktivity práce i totální produktivity. Provedené analýzy a zjištění přinesly podniku podněty ke zlepšování a dalšímu zvyšování konkurenceschopnosti.

Abstract:

This work is focused on increasing of productivity in the chosen company. It con-tains literature research concerning industrial engineering topics and productivity, then anal-ysis of actual stand of the company and project of improvement. The chosen issue was firstly generally solved through application of tools, which were Pareto graph, Cause and effect diagram and evaluation of the current productivity through data collection. Through appli-cation of these tools there is chosen a production step CNC machining for a deeper analysis The base of this work is in using of method study and work measurements - direct measuring and predetermined motion time system. The direct time measuring and Basic MOST was applied on particular group of products, which are selected as the most suitable from urgency and potentiality point of view. Suggested solution allows increasing of particular product outputs by 60 % by having the same inputs. The problem is solved by elimination of discov-ered wasting and by decreasing of machine down-time by 30%. Results of this work allow to increase the performance standard and achieve higher productivity and total productivity as well. Performed analysis and findings brought impulses to the company to become more effective and increasing its competitiveness.
