Competitive environment of small breweries

Abstract:

V současné době se stále zvyšuje počet firem, přicházejících na trh. Z toho dŧvodu se stává konkurence v ekonomických odvětvích silnější. Pivovarnický prŧmysl je velmi dŧleţitý pro celou ČR, má dlouholetou tradici a historii. V reakci na globalizační trendy ve výrobě piva (vznik tzv. europiva) vzniká velký počet minipivovarŧ, zachovávajících tradice ve výrobě piva a podporujících jeho unikátní chuť. V Praze se nachází největší počet minipivovarŧ, druhým je Jihomoravský kraj. V této práci se zabývám analýzou českého trhu minipivovarŧ, zejména ve městě Brno, konkurenčním bojem v tomto odvětví, porovnáním jednotlivých podnikŧ. Cílem práce je identifikování charakteristických vlastností konkurenčního prostředí malých pivovarŧ v ČR pomocí rŧzných analýz konkurence (Kotlerova analýza konkurentŧ, Porterŧv model pěti konkurenčních sil, SWOT analýza atd.) Nabízím také řešení ke zvýšení konkurenceschopnosti jednotlivých minipivovarů.

Abstract:

Nowadays an increasing number of companies enter the market. Therefore, the competition becomes stronger in all economic sectors. The brewing industry is very important for Czech Republic, has long traditions and history. Response to globalization trends in the production of beer (e.g. appearing of so called Eurobeer) a large number of microbreweries, preserving the tradition of beer production and supporting its unique flavor is founded. There are a lot microbreweries in Prague and in the South-Moravian region. In this thesis I analyze the Czech market of microbreweries, especially in Brno, competition in this sector, compare companies. The aim is to identify the characteristics of the competitive environment of small breweries in the Czech Republic using various analyzes of competitors (Kotler competitors analysis, Porter five forces model, SWOT analysis, etc.) I also offer solutions to increase the competitiveness of microbreweries.
