Předmětem diplomové práce je analýza vztahu konkrétní nadnárodní společnosti a její české pobočky a jeho vlivu na řízení pobočky. Pro přiblížení se k tomuto cíli je společnost nejdříve klasifikována dle dvou typologií nadnárodních podniků – typologie Bartletta a Ghoshala a typologie Birkinshawa a Morrisona.
